It is mostly observed that after the completion of road construction, in the middle-class areas of the city, a reasonable length of patch, joining side roads is mostly left untouched. Mostly it remains so for months causing disruption in the flow of traffic as well as irrepairable damage to tyres of bicycles and motorcycles. Car drivers rarely use such rock-ridden dirt-patches.
Who should be held responsible for this negligence, ignorance or biased planning? If it is a matter of normal policy of the concerned authorities, then Loudspeaker slaps their faces with a big WHY. If contractors are the culprits, then they alongwith their State accomplices should be punished by the higher authorities.
Will the holy and pious Chief Minister ever bother to steal a few hours every week, in disguise, to visit middle-class and lower-class residential areas initially of his beloved Lahore and later of the whole Punjab to see the criminl social injustice and disparities?
And remember Mr. Chief Minister, any developmental work in your province is no big favour to people, it's your prime duty to do whatever is possible for you to take note of their problems and give them relief.
